Mahindra is all set to launch Bolero Pik Up Electric. Now, the company has released a new teaser with the tagline – “Future Of Pick-Ups”.

The Indian auto giant has launched a set of electric vehicles under Mahindra Electric Mobility LTD to no success. Now, the company is trying to reinvigorate its EV portfolio. A production-spec XUV400 Electric SUV will debut this month. However, the company is even all set to launch an electric Bolero in the form of the Mahindra Bolero Pik Up Electric.

Mahindra Bolero Pik Up Electric Version to Offer Up to 150 km Range
A new teaser by the Indian auto giant includes the tagline’ Future Of Pick-Ups’. This hints at the upcoming Mahindra Bolero Pickup Electric. Along with the futuristic tagline, the teaser shows a blue color outline that is also used by the company’s Treo electric 3-wheeler. The Mahindra Bolero Pik Up Electric is expected to come with a slight design upgrade. However, the loading capacity and load bay options are likely to be similar to the outgoing model. The electric powertrain offers around 150 km of range on a single charge. This sounds sufficient for intra-city goods transport.

The Mahindra Bolero Pik Up is currently available in India in a diesel engine option. It comes in a single-cab guise. The 4-cylinder m2DiCR 2.5L TB engine offers 65hp of power at 195 Nm of torque. It is paired with a 5-speed manual gearbox. The updated commercial vehicle comes with 2990 kg of GVW. It comes with a Rigid Leaf spring suspension Front Suspension and Rigid Leaf spring suspension Rear Suspension. While the claimed fuel efficiency is pegged at 17.2 Kmpl, it offers a real-world mileage of over 14 kmpl (depending on driving, terrain, cargo load, etc).
The 2022 Mahindra Bolero Pik Up comes with a sticker price of Rs 7.20 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai). It competes with the likes of Tata Yodha, Isuzu D-Max, and Dost Strong. The powerful vehicle can carry payload of up to 1400 kg). It even adheres to the latest norms set by the government. In terms of dimensions, it measures 4990 x 1700 x 1858 mm and has a wheelbase of 3264 mm. Additional features include a front disc brake, a driver information display, power steering, an adjustable driver seat, and more.
