Mahindra has launched the Bolero Neo with updated specs and features. Being a higher version of the regular hardcore Bolero, the Bolero Neo is based on the same chassis as the Thar and packs in a ton of new features and exterior styling. Mahindra is planning a complete takeover of the SUV segment in a couple of years’ time. Ranging from compact SUVs, off-roading SUVs, 7-seater mid-size SUVs to premium SUVs, Mahindra plans a diversified portfolio. The Bolero range of SUVs belongs to the popular semi-urban population-oriented utilitarian segments. Keeping this in mind, let us take a look at what the Bolero Neo comes equipped with.

Mahindra Bolero Neo, Interior, Features and Safety
Based on the same chassis as the latest Thar, the Bolero Neo hosts a whole host of modern touches. This includes a signature front grille with vertical chrome slat inserts, sporty headlamps with DLRs, a robust bumper with fog lamps, upright stance with a tall bonnet line. The sides feature a chunky wheel arch cladding, high-profile alloy wheels, side steps for easy ingress and egress. The rear sports the typical spare wheel cover with Bolero marked on it, sporty spoiler and functional taillamps. The overall appearance is that of a rugged, tough and imposing SUV.

The interiors of the Bolero Neo feature Italian design and a ton of modern equipment. This includes a 7-inch Touchscreen Infotainment System, Driver Information System, 7-seat Configuration, Cruise Control, Hi-tech Voice Messaging System, Blue Sense Mobile App, Micro hybrid Technolgy and Eco Mode for better fuel economy, Micro hybrid technology, Tiltable Steering, Height Adjustable Driver Seat, Front and Middle-Row Armrest, Electrically Adjustable ORVMs, Rear Washer and Defogger. On the safety front, the Bolero Neo comes with Dual Airbags, ABS with EBD, Cornering Brake Control, ISOFIX Child Seat Mounts, Automatic Door Locks, High-Speed Alert Warnings, Static Bending Headlamps, Seat Belt Reminder and Digital Immobiliser.

Specs and Prices
The Bolero Neo comes with the tried and tested 1.5-litre mHawk diesel engine making 100 hp and 260 Nm of peak power and torque respectively. This engine comes mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox. The ladder-frame SUV comes with a rear-wheel-drive system and multi-terrain technology. An optional N10 (O) variant with Manual Lock Differential will come at a later stage. The prices of the Bolero Neo start at Rs 8.48 lakh for the N4 trim and go all the way up to Rs 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom for the N10 trim. Mahindra has launched the Bolero Neo with more specs than the regular Bolero in place of the TUV300. Both the Bolero will sell simultaneously.
