Suzuki has launched the Made in India Fronx in South Africa with a different engine. Fronx is a crossover hatchback. It was launched in India back in April 2023. Now, it is being exported to South Africa. In fact, there are a lot of car experts there who have already reviewed it in depth. Fronx sits above the Baleno and below the Brezza. Hence, it aims to carve out a niche for itself. In SA, it is available in two variants – GL and GLX. Moreover, there are options of manual and automatic transmissions. Suzuki Fronx in South Africa – Engine
Interestingly, the Fronx is equipped with the popular 1.5-litre K Series petrol engine that makes a decent 103 hp and 137 Nm of peak power and torque. You can choose between a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic gearbox. In India, there are two engine options – a 1.2-litre petrol or a 1.0-litre turbo petrol. The prices for the South African market begin at R279,000 (Rs 12.44 lakh) and reach up to R335,900 (Rs 14.99 lakh). These prices are a bit higher in comparison to India due to the larger engine. In fact, it is the same engine we get in Jimny and Brezza in India.

Interior and Features
There are almost no differences when it comes to the interior layout or features. These include a large 9-inch screen for the infotainment system, some parts of the instrument display are digital, a 360-degree camera that lets you see all around the car, a head-up display, smartphone connectivity, buttons on the steering wheel to control multimedia, lots of places to put your stuff inside the car, automatic air conditioning, the car is about 170 mm from the ground, wireless smartphone charging, keyless entry with push start/stop button, a rearview mirror that dims automatically, 6 airbags to keep you safe, lights inside the car to help you see, and more.

Exterior
Just like the interior setup, the Made in India Fronx bears similar exterior styling as well. It has some cool design features like LED projector headlights down on the front, LED daytime running lights on the hood that are shaped in three parts, square-shaped wheel arches, lots of shiny chrome on the front grille to make it stand out, good-looking 16-inch wheels, a strong plate at the bottom, rails on the roof, extra panels along the sides, LED lights at the back, a sporty back bumper, a strip of chrome that goes under the windows, a roof that slants down a bit like a coupe, side mirrors that are the same colour as the body with lights that blink on them, and more.
