The flood situation has caused quite a ruckus in Bengaluru in the last few weeks and some videos on the internet showcase the severity of it all.
Luxury cars like Bentley and Lexus were seen floating in the floods in Bengaluru. There had been a ton of videos recently on the internet. People have posted the condition of their homes in the city. We had reported that the working professionals had to reach offices using boats or tractors. Some big IT companies suffered a lot of revenue losses due to prolonged power cuts and the staff not being able to work either from home or office. This video clip is yet another such case.

Bentley, Lexus Seen Floating in Bengaluru Floods
The visuals captured in this tweet represent the real-time situation on the ground. Some people are seen travelling by the waterlogged roads on a tractor. It looks like a family that might be riding on the tractor to their homes. On the way, they enter a street that looks quite posh looking at the impressive buildings and luxury cars parked outside. However, the cars are inundated by the water. It is quite surprising to see that the water has entered even the most influential residential areas.

As the camera moves around, cars like Bentley, Range Rover, Audi, BMW and Lexus are seen parked in the driveway of the houses. All of these are partially submerged in the water. The city has witnessed unprecedented levels of floods that have affected the everyday lives of the people. People have had to rent out boats and tractors in order to get around the city. This is a great lesson that the authorities must learn so that they manage the drainage system around the city better.

When we already know that this is what happens in torrential rains, we have to be better prepared for the future. We hope that the government and the concerned authorities ensure that such accidents don’t happen in the future and also come up with techniques to avert this horrific situation at the moment.
