Aftermarket car modification houses are able to come up with such unbelievable iterations which are beyond perception
In this post, we take a look at arguably the longest limousine car constructed using a Ford Figo. This has to be one of the most impressive conversions you will see all week. In recent times, I have reported multiple cases of car shop owners doing their best to create unique vehicles based on regular cars. However, there are many ways to achieve that including creating replicas of luxury cars or altering the body type entirely. Let us take a look at the details of this case here.
Longest Limousine Car Based on Ford Figo
This post stems from Technical Partha on YouTube. The host showcases the entire process of how they managed to come up with it. Firstly, they cut the body right down the middle. Thereafter, they installed long rods inside the body panels to extend the length and join the two parts together again. Note that they even had to take care of the mechanical parts like the exhaust pipe, other cables, pipes and transmission shaft. In fact, they welded a totally new frame between the two parts of the car to make a housing which can be covered to be concealed into the body of the car.
Next up, the owner leaves the frame as it is to take a test drive first. In fact, he takes the car to the city on a public road and drives it relatively effortlessly. However, from the manoeuvrability point of view, he needed to be careful due to the extended dimensions. Still, the vehicle seems to be driving normally. Also, he even took it to an open ground where he showed that the vehicle was reversing as well. Overall, there doesn’t seem to be any issue with the movement of the car. Finally, he installed thick metal sheet to form the side body panels which sits flush with the overall design. Also, the roof is a glass unit which lets light in making the interior look spacious.
My View
In all honesty, it is not every day that we witness a replica of a limousine car. Sure, I have seen and reported such cases before. Still, to see it in this latest incident is exciting. We know that Ford quit manufacturing cars in India back in 2021. Hence, people are trying various experiments with the old Ford cars since they would not bear much value as time goes by. I shall keep bringing more such cases for our readers going forward.
