LML has launched the 2011 new model of its scooter LML Select with a 4 stroke engine in Delhi and NCR region. The new scooter comes with a 150CC air cooled engine which produces 8.7 BHP of maximum power at 6200 RPM and churns out about 11.3 Nm of torque at 4250 RPM. It has a petrol tank with 5.5 Litres capacity with 1 Litre for reserve. The LML Select 2011 is available in both Kick-start as well as electric start variant. The Kick Start variant is priced at Rs. 47140 Ex-showroom Delhi while the electric start variant is available for Rs. 50978 Ex-showroom Delhi.
On the occasion of the launch, P S Choudhary, Head, Sales and Marketing disclosed that sales of LML Select will open in Punjab, Haryana and UP by end of this month. Also he mentioned that there would be 4 more products from LML for Indian market in the coming months. There will be two bikes in the 110 CC commuter segment and 125 CC executive segment. Also there will be two gearless scooter with an engine capacity of 110 and 125 CC which will target the competition which is currently occupied by Honda Activa, Suzuki Access, Mahindra Rodeo, TVS Wego etc.. Yamaha is also planning for a gearless scooter as the market for gearless scooters is quite large in India.
