Suzuki motorcycles India Private Limited has silently introduced the refreshed Access in the country. Just like the Swish, the seven year old scooter from Suzuki has been trying to stay in trend through special editions and now the Japanese motorcycle manufacturer has come up with a facelift version. There are no profound changes in new Access 125, just minor touch ups here and there. Expected to challenge the hugely popular Honda Activa, the Access has done pretty well for itself in the past. So let’s have a look at what’s on offer from the new 2014 Suzuki Access.

The Price on launch is Rs. 53,223 (Ex-Showroom Delhi).
What’s New:
The major features of the new Suzuki Access facelift are:
- New badge
- Steel front fender
- Tubeless tyres
- Central locking system with safety shutter
- Chrome plated silencer cover
- Aluminium pillion grab rail
- New maintenance free battery
Apart from these tweaks and tucks, Suzuki has added a lot of colour to the 125cc scooter with the following colour options available:
- Candy Antares Red
- Pearl Mirage White
- Metallic Sonic Silver
- Metallic Matte Fibroin Grey
- Glass Sparkle Black
Mechanically, the Suzuki Access 125 is powered by same 125-cc 4-Stroke, Single Cylinder, Air Cooled engine with Over Head Camshaft (OHC), producing 8.58 BHP @ 7,000 rpm and 9.8 Nm @ 5,000 rpm, and sending power via a Continuously Varying Transmission (CVT). Engine can be started by kick-lever or by electric starter. Fuel tank has capacity to hold 6.0-litres of petrol, remaining space under seat is given for utility purpose, a 20-litre storage box.
The Access gets telescopic front fork with coil spring and oil damping mechanism. Rear suspension is swing arm type also with coil spring and oil damping. Front and rear tyres measure 90/100-10, both get drum brakes. Suzuki Access 125 weighs 112 kg and has ground clearance of 160 mm, seat height of 780 mm and wheelbase of 1,250 mm.
