Since the time Lamborghini started going the VW way after coming under its purview, it somehow lost that appeal which it used to have. But Lamborghini begs to differ about it and they took the occasion of the Geneva Motor Show 2013 to showcase that it still is the raging bull it’s always been. The Italian car marquee is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year and to mark this, have launched a Lamborghini Veneno which is the most insane car to come from the stable of Lamborghini.
The Veneno has been named after a Spanish fighting bull that was the one to kill a matador in 1914. To ensure the car’s exclusivity, Lamborghini has planned to sell just three units of car globally which it says has already been done. The car costs $3.9 million but no price is too much for such an insane car. The Veneno gets the dynamics of a race ready car as the car’s aerodynamics are mainly focussed on racing characteristics and cornering stability.
Now you would be wondering what makes this car a true raging bull. Well it has a 12 cylinder 6.5 litre engine under its hood which has 750 horses ready to be unleashed. The car features each of the three colours of the Italian flag on its sides for the display unit at the Geneva Motor Show 2013 but the ones that will be sold to the customers will feature a single colour from the Italian flag, green, red and white.
The car’s V12 engine would take it to a top speed north of 350 kmph. I can go on and on about what the car has and how good it is, but all that would be just an understatement. You know what, a picture is worth a thousand words and we have the complete collection of pictures for you here. They could have ordered a cake, thrown an anniversary party to mark the anniversary but they decided on going this way. We like it this way.
