Some pictures of the Lamborghini Aventador successor have come up that show what seems to be the production-ready version roaming around the premises of the Sant’Agata factory. The brand is likely to soon launch this Aventador-replacement and here are all the juicy details we know so far.

Lamborghini Aventador Successor to Feature Hybrid Powertrain
After almost 12 years, the Aventador has been officially facelifted and now gets a long list of changes inside out. For starters, it now gets a twin hexagonal exhaust set-up along with new LED tail lights that look like Y-shapes making it more aggressive. Apart from having a naturally-aspirated V12 engine paired with an electric motor, the Lamborghini Aventador replacement is also expected to feature a dual-clutch gearbox. It is clearly a hybrid model as it has yellow high-voltage stickers on both, the front fascia and rear fenders. When compared to the last test, the exhaust in this prototype ends up with six end pipes, but the two big ones are fake.
The new version will be offered with only four exhaust pipes. The new high-performance car does not have an engine cover which leaves the engine exposed – as we have seen on Bugatti high-performance cars. It is built on a completely new platform. This will be joined by a new 6.5-litre V-12 hybrid powertrain that will produce more than 800 horsepower and channel power to all four wheels. The engine will be all-aluminium, leading to a significant weight reduction. The engine will receive power from three electric motors. The battery pack will be a solid unit, well packed and set under the central tunnel, adding up to about 250 kg of mass. With hybrid power delivery, 0-100 km/h is expected to be achieved in the region of around 2.5 seconds while top speed is expected to exceed 350 km/h.

All-electric version expected by 2028
As far as the interior is concerned, there are a lot of new designs and improvements here too. A steering wheel with two “Manetino” switches and a redesigned double display layout dashboard are also similar to the Ferrari model. Also, it has increased headspace, making for good reception. It will get a low scuttle and a big front end like the previous variant, which will probably be taken from the Sian FKP37. The new successor to the Aventador will be officially unveiled in the first quarter of 2023, with sales starting shortly thereafter. However, its unveiling started earlier this month. While it will be the last Lamborghini to feature a V-12 engine, we can expect the high-performance Lamborghini to go all-electric by 2028.
