The launch details of KTM RC125 have been leaked. The entry-level sportsbike will be launched in the third week of June 2019, i.e, next week.
A couple of weeks back, we reported that KTM RC125 might be launched in India. A spy shot of the sportsbike was leaked, while it was spotted testing in Pune without any camouflage.
Now, Autocar has confirmed that the RC125 is set to make its debut in India. Moreover, it will be launched in the third week of June 2019. The deliveries for the same will commence in the first week of July 2019.
RC125 is already being produced and manufactured in India for the global markets. However, the India-spec version will be a bit different from the global one, missing out on a lot of features.

KTM RC125 will use the same engine from the Duke 125 without any tweaks. The 124.6cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine produces 14.5 BHP and 12 Nm of peak torque, while mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The global-spec version gets a side-mounted exhaust unit, while will be an underbelly unit on the Indian version. Further, we will also get the small secondary rear bumper and saree guard as an accessory.
For suspension, it will use USD forks at the front and a monoshock suspension at the back. Braking will be handled by disc brakes at both the ends with a single-channel ABS.

Most likely, the features, styling and the colour will be the same that comes on the RC200. So, expect the same old digital speedometer, clip-on handlebars, split seats, no grab rails and projector headlamps.
Like the scenario with RC200 and Duke 200, the KTM RC125 will also demand a slight hike over its naked street version. Expect the prices to fall around Rs 1.3 Lakhs (Ex-showroom).
RC125 will go against Yamaha R15 V3 squarely, because of the same price range. It will also receive some competition from the Bajaj Pulsar RS200.
