For all those sports bike enthusiasts out there, at last KTM has made the official announcement of launching its very first product in the Indian market. Come 24th January 2012, KTM will officially launch the much awaited bike of the KTM Duke family, the KTM Duke 200. The bike is a Duke from every angle and there is now way one could ignore it on the road. The overall masculine built, road presence, power packed performance is all to die for.

The console of the bike is a multifunction unit that provides extra information like average fuel consumption, remaining range etc. The engine of the Duke 200 is inspired by KTM Duke 125 or we can say it is a stepped up version of the same that has 60 % more displacement and correspondingly more power. The 200 CC liquid cooled, 4 stroke single cylinder unit develops max power of 25.5 BHP @ 10000 RPM and max torque of 20 Nm @ 8000 RPM. The power house Is mated to a smooth 6 speed transmission.
If you are guessing on the price of the bike, as reported earlier, Bajaj will try to impress the consumers and will price it between Rs. 1.25 and Rs. 1.31 lakhs. The bike will be made available at Bajaj Pro-Biking stores which will be rebranded as KTM stores.
