Update –
KTM Duke 200 Officially Launched In India – Pictures, Video, Price and Details
Bajaj in a venture with KTM has been planning to launch KTM Duke 200 in India but for months we have not seen any further action in the same direction. The only happening which created some news months back was the Kawasaki Ninja 650R and since then the company has been seen idle, as far as KTM is concerned.
Earlier in August KTM launched the Duke 200 in Malaysia and recently it been previewed the same in Brazil as well, which means that the Indian launch is quite near. As per speculations it could happen in October or early November but there is a greater probability of it happening in this very month.
Bajaj is planning to showcase its newly manufactured 4 wheeler products at the 2012 Auto Expoand this is probably the reason why it is going to launch Duke in this month as it wants visitors to see their new products and does not want them to get distracted by KTM bikes. As far as Pulsar line-up is concerned, the company has been inactive for months here as well.
The Duke 200 is not a high performance machine but is impressive in all sense as its max power is around 22 BHP, very close to Honda CBR250R, and has enough torque to pull the bike on steep climbs. It also gets a completely tweaked fuel injection system, specifically for the cut throat Indian road traffic and I am sure there will be a lot more to tell all you readers when the bike actually arrives. So stay tuned as we will be bringing more information on the Duke 200 soon.
