Third time in three months. KTM Duke 125 sees a price hike again of a considerable Rs 6,000. The baby Duke was launched in November 2018 for Rs 1.18 Lakhs.
KTM has announced the Duke 125 price hike, for the third time in three months. It was first priced at Rs 1.18 Lakhs and then came up to Rs 1.24 Lakhs. Now, it goes for Rs 1.30 Lakhs (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Duke 125 price hike now stands at Rs 12,000. The exact reason for the hike is unknown, but reports suggest that it could be because of the increasing manufacturing costs.
Recently, all the KTM models received a minor price hike, which increased the prices of Duke 125 by a mere Rs 250. It is now priced very closely to its A-1 rival, Yamaha MT-15.

Duke 125 goes against the likes of new MT-15, which goes for Rs 1.36 Lakhs (ex-showroom). The Yamaha naked street fighter gets a bigger capacity engine and definitely offers more power. This could be dangerous for the Duke.
Also, the baby Duke is the best selling in the entire KTM lineup, clocking over 2,000 units every month. It outsells Duke 200 and Duke 390 combined with other models as well.
A 124.6cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine makes its way on the KTM Duke 125. The engine produces 14.3 BHP and 12 NM of peak torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

Yamaha is already going good with the MT-15, as it clocks over 3000 units every month. The figures are still lesser than R15 V3, but the naked streetfighter also looses some bits from the R15 V3.
The suspension, braking setup and the design of KTM Duke 125 are same of the Duke 200. It uses Upside-Down WP shocks at the front and a monoshock absorber at the back.
