KTM Duke 125 was launched in November 2018, for Rs 1.18 Lakhs (Ex-showroom). The manufacturer has now hiked its prices by Rs 6835, effective immediately.
KTM Duke 125 is currently the best-selling motorcycle from the Austrian two-wheeler manufacturer. It packs the same KTM performance that is available in all bikes, except with a smaller engine.
We get the news that KTM has hiked the prices of Duke 125 by Rs 6,835 from now. Earlier priced at Rs 1.18 Lakhs, now it goes for Rs 1,24,835 (ex-showroom Delhi prices).
At new prices, it is still the most affordable performance oriented motorcycle in India. However, now, it has distanced itself from the prices of TVS Apache RTR 200 4V and Bajaj Pulsar NS200.

For the month of February 2019, 3014 units of KTM Duke 125 were sold in India. January 2019 saw a relatively lesser sales figure of 2000 units, still better than Duke 200.
It has received an overwhelming response from the buyers, mainly because of its sizeable price difference from Duke 200. They get the trademark KTM exhaust note, the funky styling and its racing appeal.
Duke 125 uses a 124.6cc liquid-cooled DOHC engine, that is capable of producing 14.3 BHP and 12 Nm of peak torque. These power figures are similar to that of a 150-160cc bike. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The suspension, braking setup and the design of KTM Duke 125 are identical to the 200cc Duke. The former uses Upside-Down WP shocks at the front and a monoshock absorber at the back.
For braking, the bike uses disc brakes on both the ends, with a single-channel ABS and Rear Lift-off protection (RLP). For a 125cc motorcycle, the safety norms require it to be equipped with CBS.
Features onboard include a fully digital speedometer, Halogen headlamps, ABS, liquid-cooled engine, LED tail lamps and Split Seats.

Duke 125 goes against the likes of TVS Apache RTR 200 4V, Bajaj Pulsar NS200 and Yamaha MT-15. KTM and Yamaha bikes are more performance oriented than the others two models.
