KTM 390 Adventure has been spotted testing in Pune again. The photos indicate that it is production ready and will be launched very soon.
KTM is gearing up to launch two new motorcycles in India – Duke 790 and 390 Adventure. While the Duke is likely to launch in April 2019, the 390 Adventure is expected to launch in a couple of months.
So, here are fresh spy shots of KTM 390 Adventure testing through the traffic of Pune. KTM bikes are manufactured from Bajaj’s plant in Pune. That’s where most of the KTM bikes are spotted testing.
It will be the entry-level adventure motorcycle from the brand globally. Currently, global markets get the KTM 790 Adventure. India is the export hub for the Austrian company.

The spotted KTM 390 Adventure gets relatively lower seat height, which is good for the small riders. A large windscreen, bikini fairing, dual purpose tires and alloy wheels are spotted on this bike.
Although, in the international markets, it has been spotted testing with spoke wheels. We suspect that KTM might offer it in two variants; one will be road-biased and the other one will be for off-roading.
The engine will be the same 373cc liquid-cooled DOHC mill, but in a different state of tune. It will be tuned for better torque delivery at the low-range and a relatively longer first gear ratio.

The 373cc engine produces 42 BHP and 37 Nm of peak torque, with the engine mated to a 6-speed transmission. The power figures will be the same on the KTM 390 Adventure.
For suspension, it will use WP upside down forks at the front and an adjustable monoshock at the back. The suspension travel at both the ends will be higher than that on Duke.
Features onboard will include LED headlamps, a TFT digital instrument console, luggage rack as standard fitment, switchable dual-ABS, tall windscreen and an engine bash plate.

Our expected pricing of the 390 Adventure is around Rs 3 Lakhs, which will make it compete against Royal Enfield Himalayan, which is a Lakh cheaper. The next one in line will be Benelli TRK 502.
