Our dealer sources have confirmed that some dealerships have started the unofficial bookings of the KTM 390 Adventure, scheduled to launch in early 2020.
KTM recently showcased the 390 Adventure at the India Bike Week 2019. The entry-level adventure motorcycle is expected to hit the showrooms by the end of January 2020, after its price announcement in the same month.
Ahead of that, many dealerships have already started accepting the bookings for the KTM 390 Adventure. Our source has confirmed that the booking amount has been set for Rs 20,000 by most of the dealerships, but some of them are also taking 25,000 as a token.
KTM 390 Adventure is the smallest adventure motorcycle offering from the Austrian brand. It is based on the Duke 390, using the same components. For starters, the 390 ADV uses the same 373cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder DOHC engine, that produces 43 BHP and 37 Nm of peak torque.

The engine tuning is also expected to be revised for the 390 Adventure. It could offer more torque at the low-end RPM. While the global market gets a 6-speed manual gearbox with a bi-directional quick-shifter, we might miss out on the latter.
The suspension setup is the same with 43mm upside-down forks at the front and a monoshock at the back. A roto-petal disc brake at the front and a rear disc brake with handle the braking part. The 390 Adventure will also get the SuperMoto ABS mode, which includes Switchable ABS and Traction Control.
Features onboard will include split-LED headlamps, LED DRLs, SuperMoto Mode, Alloy Wheels, Single Step-Up Seat and a fully digital TFT colour instrument panel with integrated Bluetooth connection.

Most likely, its prices will be under Rs 3 Lakhs (ex-showroom), so that it fits in as a stiff competitor to BMW G 310 GS, Kawasaki Versys X 300 and Royal Enfield Himalayan. If you still think its out of budget, wait for the upcoming KTM 250 Adventure!
