Syros is the second compact SUV from the Korean auto giant after the Sonet in our market
The bookings for the Kia Syros will commence from January 3 onwards at a token amount of Rs 25,000. Note that the prices will be announced on February 1, while the deliveries will begin in mid-February. Syros is a slightly more premium SUV than the Sonet and sits below the Seltos. This is already a tricky space since the prices of the Sonet and Seltos overlap quite a bit. Still, Kia has managed to squeeze in the Syros to offer even more diversification for car buyers. Depending on the price and application, potential customers will have a lot more options.

We are confident that the Syros will set new benchmarks in the industry, redefining the SUV in the Indian automotive market.”

This results in a 1.0-litre 3-cylinder turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder turbo diesel mill which generate 120 PS / 172 Nm and 116 PS / 250 Nm of maximum power and torque, respectively. The petrol mill pairs with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox, while the diesel engine uses a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission. This ensures that the needs of all kinds of buyers are met.
