Kia Syros is the second compact SUV from the Korean auto giant after the Sonet
In this latest development, we were able to get the opportunity to perform an acceleration test of the new Kia Syros. Syros is a unique product from the Korean car marque. Essentially, it is positioned between the Sonet and Seltos in our market. That is interesting since there was already a huge price overlap between these two. Still, Kia wanted to offer something unique and more premium than the Sonet. Hence, the Syros comes with a bold and new-age design along with an incredibly feature-rich cabin. For now, let us see how fast it accelerates.
Kia Syros Acceleration Test
We conducted this test during our time with the premium compact SUV. As soon as we pressed the accelerator pedal, the engine came to life. We clocked the 80 km/h mark in just 7.15 seconds, while it took us 11.02 seconds to reach 100 km/h. Finally, the new model achieved 120 km/h from a standstill in a decent 15.22 seconds. It is clear that the Syros is not for the performance enthusiasts but for those who want the absolute top amenities and comfort. Hence, the ride quality is great and the SUV offers all sorts of latest bells and whistles to pamper the occupants. The main highlights include:

There are options of choosing between a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT automatic gearbox with the petrol and a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission with the diesel.
