Kia SP2i SUV is set to launch in India this year. it will compete against the likes of Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks and Maruti S-Cross.
The compact SUv segment in India is soon going to witness the arrival of an all-new enterant. Yes, the Kia SP2i SUv is all set to make its debut in India this year. The development of this vehicle is in its final stages. The South Korean automaker has even commenced testing the same on Indian roads.
In a new set of spy images, brought to you exclusively by us reveals the sleek LED tail-lamps of this SUV. Though heavily camouflaged, we can see that their design is quite similar to the SP Signature concept which was revealed recently.
The SP2i SUV, when launched in expected to fall in-between the price range of INR 10 lakh to 15 lakh. Hence, its main competition is going to be with the likes of Hyundai Creta, Nissan Kicks and the Maruti S-Cross. That said, it is clearly going to be bigger in its size than its rival.

Being a Kia, this vehicle is going to offer a whole array of features and creature comforts. The fit and finish of the material quality is going to be top-notch. It is going to offer features such a automatic climate control, automatic headlamps and wipers, leather upholstery, an electric sunroof steering mounted audio control, projector headlamps among other creature comforts.
In terms of safety, the SP2i is going to get dual airbags along with ABS and EBD as standard across the range. Other standard safety features will include reverse parking sensors, driver and passenger seat belt warning system amon others. Higher variants can offer features such a ISOFIX child seat mounts and up to 7 airbags.
So far, Kia has not confirmed the engine specifications of this vehicle. However, it is likely that the SP2i will offer petrol as well as diesel engine options. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. In addition to this, there will be an automatic gearbox option as well.
