Our dealership sources have hinted us that the launch of Kia Sonet could happen on 5th September. The sub compact SUV has already been unveiled.
Among the three upcoming subcompact SUVs this year, Kia Sonet is the most anticipated one. Unveiled a couple of weeks back, Sonet has already created a liking among many buyers. Even the pre-bookings have commenced for a token amount of Rs 25,000. Now, we await the prices and commencement of deliveries.
Our dealership sources have suggested that the launch of Kia Sonet could happen on 5th September. There’s no official confirmation from it as of now, Kia had confirmed that the launch will actually happen in the month of September. On that day, the prices will be announced and we will get an idea as to when will the deliveries commence.

Sonet will come with three engine options and five gearbox options to choose from. For the base spec variants, you will get a 1.2 Litre petrol engine that produces 83 PS and comes paired with a 5-speed manual. All the variants will get an option of a 1.5 Litre diesel engine as well, which will come in two state of tuning.
Only the Plus variants will get the option of a 6-speed AT, which will produce 115 PS and 250 Nm of peak torque. However, the manual variants will only produce 100 PS and 240 Nm of torque. The last one is the enthusiastic 1.0 Litre three-cylinder turbo petrol engine that is good for 120 PS and 172 Nm of peak torque, paired with a 6-speed iMT and a 7-speed DCT.
Sonet is on its way to becoming the most feature-rich SUV of this segment. It comes with many premium features such as 10.25 inch touchscreen infotainment system, UVO Connect internet car technology, cruise control, LED headlamps, Drive Modes, digital instrument cluster, rear AC vents, electric sunroof and much more. Safety bits onboard include six airbags, ABS, front and rear parking sensors, driver rearview monitor and rear parking camera.
