Kia Seltos and Hyundai Creta share aplenty between each other as they’re built on same platform and have same engines and transmissions
Launched in August 2019, the Kia Seltos has been one of the most popular compact SUVs in the country. The good sales performance that this car enjoys is certainly due to the great combination of good looks, powerful engines, premium cabin and sensible pricing. With that said, the Seltos is definitely a force to reckon with but on the same time, it has even come under the scanner for questionable build quality. An incident shared by an owner of the SUV, however, pretty much puts to rest any doubts that one might have on the crash safety offered by this vehicle.

As per a post doing rounds on the social media, an owner has reported about an incident in which his Kia Seltos hit a buffalo. As per him, the SUV hit the animal, which, apparently weighs 300 kg, at 90 kmph. However, the occupants walked out of the crash totally scratchless. He then says it did take 3 months to get his car back in shape but now he is back to using it without any issues. We’re surely glad to hear that the SUV kept its occupants safe in what looks like a pretty massive crash. On the same time, this incident even goes on to show that the Seltos provides decent crash protection. The vehicle involved in this accident seems to be the base trim of the C-SUV, which comes with the standard safety kit comprising of dual front airbags, ABS, EBD and rear parking sensors.

Even at the rear, the SUV could get some small tweaks, while the interior could see an upholstery change as well as some additional features like Level-1 ADAS.
