Kia Seltos comes with loads of first in class features and also BS6 compliant engines which is one of the main factors in its rapid sales
According to a recent sales report, Kia Motors India made October a profitable month with their debutant, Seltos, with selling bout 12,800 units. The mid-size SUV was the top pick among the Indian buyers for September too when sales number clocked 7,754 units.
The sales have been increasing for the Kia Seltos every month and October seemed no different. It is the first in class features the car has to offer and the unique design with tiger nose grille which appeals to the Indian buyers.
The mid-size SUV offers features like a large touchscreen 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with UVO connect. It also gets connectivity features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and Bluetooth connectivity.

It also gets ventilated seats, Blind spot view monitor, heads up display, wireless charging, Drive modes (DCT only), automatic climate control, 360-degree parking camera, ambient lighting and much more.
One of the other reasons for the popularity of the Kia Seltos among Indian buyers is the BS6 engine options and it is the first SUV which comes four transmission options, making it easier for the buyers. The Seltos is available in three engine options – two petrol and one diesel engine.
There is a four cylinder, 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol motor which makes 115 bhp on tap with a peak torque of 144 Nm. Another is a 1.5-litre, turbocharged diesel engine which produces the same power, that is 115 bhp, as the petrol but torque figures stick to 250 Nm.
The powerful of the lot is a 1.4-litre, turbocharged petrol engine which produces 142 bhp along with 242 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual gearbox for all four trim while automatics come to be CVT for 1.5L petrol, 6-speed AT for the diesel and 7-speed DCT for the turbocharged petrol.
Safety onboard includes six-airbags, ABS with EBD, Electronic stability control, Vehicle stability management, hill start assist, front and rear parking sensors are some of the features which come onboard.

Kia Seltos comes at a price tag of Rs 9.69 lakh for the base trim and reaching to Rs 16.99 lakh for the top trim. The mid-size SUV rivals with Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier, MG Hector, Renault Captur and Nissan Kicks. All prices stick to ex-showroom, Delhi.
In other news, Kia Motors other product is the Carnival MPV which is expected to launch at the 2020 Auto Expo. It is a premium version in its segment and will target mostly the higher trims of the popular Toyota Innova Crysta.
Also, the South Korean manufacturers are hinting on the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza rival. Kia’s compact SUV has been spotted a few times in the Indian market and will likely take design inspiration from the Seltos.
