It seems even Kia can’t handle their excitement for the unveil of their first product in India. Kia has yet again released another teaser video of the Seltos SUV that is slated to be unveiled on June 20. Just a couple of days back, Kia showed us some details of the Seltos through a teaser video, and now, there’s another one revealing some more.
The Kia Seltos is a much awaited SUV. We have already seen several spy shots – inside and out – of the Seltos. We have even seen a fully undisguised Seltos being tested abroad, completely revealing its exterior design. But Kia of course has to bump up the excitement in the minds of the Indian customers too. The new teaser reveals new elements which includes tiger nose grille, LED headlamp and taillights and more.
As for the interiors, Kia has only revealed sketch images of the cabin design. However, we have even reported some uncamouflaged spy shots of interiors of the Seltos, revealing its all black theme. The Kia Seltos is absolutely loaded to the brim with all the gadgets and conveniences you could want in a car.
It will get a 10.25-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, hill hold assist, quiet mode with driver-talk mode for the Bluetooth interface, electric parking brake, electric sunroof and ambient lighting. You will also get ventilated seats, driving modes, multi-function steering with assist modes, adaptive cruise control, idle start-stop and paddle shifters.

The Kia Seltos will share its underpinnings with the Creta. It will come with a new 1.5L petrol and a 1.5L diesel engine. The engines are likely to be BS-VI ready but could launched as BS-IV compliant at launch. There will be choice of both automatic and manual transmission. Kia is also working on a sportier variant of the Seltos that will be powered by a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. It will churn out 140 hp and will even come with paddle shifters.

The Kia Seltos will be produced here in India itself, at Kia’s new Anantapur facility in Andhra Pradesh which has been built with an investment of $1 billion, with an additional $1 billion spent over establishing the vendor park. The Seltos will be a global product and it will be produced for both the domestic and export markets from this facility itself. The SUV will go on sale later this year close to the festive season with production to commence soon.
