The Kia Seltos has one of the most premium interiors in the cabin and its absolutely loaded to the brim with technology, luxury and safety features.
Kia unveiled the Seltos, their first product for India, with much enthusiasm a couple of weeks back in Delhi. We did get a close look of the car at its unveiling event but Kia were still closed up about the interiors of the Seltos. We could catch a glimpse of the interiors from the outside but now there are fresh images which offer us a good look of how the Seltos will look on the inside.
The Kia Seltos pictured here is the top-spec GT line that will get just the 1.4-litre Turbo GDI petrol engine. Here’s a closer look at the Kia Seltos interiors:
Just at first glance, the interiors of the Seltos already look the most premium in the class. The lounge like seats with oodles of space is something we have not seen in this segment before. The dashboard gets a beautiful leatherette padding with contrasting brown stitching. In Korea, the Seltos will come in three colors – black, burgundy and brown. The Seltos also boasts of many premium features like ventilated seats, air purifier and automatic climate controls and much more.
The Seltos has a large 10.25 inch infotainment system that also comes with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. It also features the UVO connectivity system which is a smart connected feature like the Hector’s iSmart system. One point to note is that the layout of the infotainment screen in these images is different from what we saw at its unveil event. The system featured here is a floating touchscreen unit where as the one we saw at the event was well integrated in the dashboard.
As for the UVO connect, it works by using its own embedded SIM card to access and update live data while driving, such as traffic information, weather forecasts and points of interest. There’s also a UVO app that needs to be installed in your phone and you can access several more functions from that app like diagnostic data about their car, the trips they take and more.
The Seltos also gets an 8.0-inch heads up display which is a segment first feature. Even most cars from a segment above do not get a heads-up display. It displays information like turn-by-turn navigation directions and vehicle speed information. There’s a glass panel behind the steering wheel onto which all the information is displayed.
The Seltos also comes with an 8-speaker Bose sound system along with an optional LED mood lighting with sound effects. It emits soft light from panels on the doors and includes a unique 3D-patterned surface on the door panels. The system syncs in tune with the beat of music playing through the audio system. Quite fancy indeed! It has eight customizable colors and six themes illuminating the cabin.

That’s not all, the list further continues with autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-keep assist, driver attention warning, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and navigation-based adaptive cruise control.
