Just within a month of its launch, Kia has launched two new top-end automatic variants of the Seltos, including GTX+ Diesel AT and GTX+ Turbo Petrol-DCT.
Kia Seltos gets more expensive than the manufacturer now brings two top-spec variants onboard. The Kia Seltos GTX+ trim with the turbo-petrol engine now gets a 7-speed DCT gearbox. The GTX trim is also offered with the DCT gearbox.
Not only that, but Kia brings the GTX+ with a diesel engine and an AT gearbox. Both the models are priced at Rs 16.99 Lakhs (ex-showroom), demanding a hike of Rs 1 Lakh over the earlier top-spec trims.
So now, you can buy the most premium GTX+ variant with a diesel engine, which will only come mated to a torque-converter (AT) gearbox. For the other diesel variants, Kia has the Tech Line, where you get the option of both manual as well as AT gearboxes.

The price range of Kia Seltos now starts off at Rs 9.69 Lakhs going all the way up to Rs 16.99 Lakhs (ex-showroom). There are a total of 9 variants on offer, with three engine options and India-first, four gearbox options.
Talking on the delivery status, the deliveries of Kia Seltos have commenced across many dealerships. In just 10 days of sales, Kia has garnered more than 6000 sales units, making it the segment leader. The waiting period for Seltos is currently up by 2-3 months, depending on the trim chosen.
Our dealership sources suggest that Kia Seltos GTX+, GTX and HTX are amongst the most popular variants inquired. Seltos comes with a 1.5 Litre petrol engine, a 1.5 Litre diesel engine and a 1.4 Litre Turbo-petrol engine, all BS-6 compliant.

All the engines come with a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. The petrol variant gets a CVT gearbox, the diesel one with a torque-converter unit and the turbo-petrol unit with a 7-speed DCT.
Kia Seltos GTX+ trim is the one which comes with many segment-first features like Heads-up display, Blind Spot Monitor, Front Parking Sensors and Smart Air Purifier.
