Here is a bizarre case of exorbitant prices to fill nitrogen in tyres of a Kia Seltos at the service centre. If you are not aware of this, many petrol stations fill nitrogen in your car’s tyres for free or charge around Rs 40-50 for all four tyres. However, in this case, the owner attaches the bill of the first paid service and it states that the labour charges for filling nitrogen are Rs 50 per tyre. This amounts to Rs 200 which is quite shocking. The owner has shared the entire bill which will also give the other Seltos owners an idea of what to expect from the first paid service for the mid-size SUV. Here are the details of the service cost.

Price of Nitrogen Fill in Tyres
Many people use nitrogen in their tyres for various applications. We have already covered the comparison of regular air vs nitrogen along with the characteristics of each. This information raises questions about the exorbitant amount of money charged by authorized dealerships during the services. This forces the car owners to look for alternatives outside the service centre. While there are a bunch of components and spare parts for which you should go to the dealership only but some things could be done just as effectively in the aftermarket workshops as well. It must also be noted that the first paid service of the Kia Selto costs around Rs 6,500 which is affordable. According to the image, this Seltos has completed over 16,000 km and some parts needed to be changed which are mentioned in the bill. But the labour charges constitute about Rs 2,600 out of 6,500 which is quite significant. This makes a lot of people wonder if it is even worth it going to the dealerships to get your car service done. We suggest that the official mechanics might be aware of some common problems in a particular car as they handle only the cars from one particular carmaker. So, if you are facing difficulties, you should definitely go to the service centre. However, you could avoid certain things like washing and tyre related things because these don’t require as much expertise and you will save large amounts of labour charges.
