Some dealers have started taking the unofficial bookings for the Kia Seltos. The SUV is expect to launch in August, 2019.
Kia Seltos recently made its global debut in India with the Seltos and the car is expected to launch in near August but the unofficial bookings for the SUV have already begun.
A handful of upcoming dealers have started taking bookings for the Kia. Some dealers in New Delhi are accepting bookings for the Kia Seltos at Rs 25,000. Of course, early bookings will be given a priority through dealers. Kia will also open an online booking portal where one can book their SUV and the commenced date will be announced in mid-July.
Kia Motors has confirmed that it will have 265 touchpoints across 165 cities soon and plans to have 300 showrooms by the end of this year. Kia Seltos has already created a stir in the Indian market with the premium features and will rival against the Hyundai Creta, Tata Harrier, Mahindra XUV500 and the upcoming MG Hector.

Recently the dimensions and engine specifications were leaked by Autocar India ahead of its launch. Although the Seltos and Creta share the same platform, the upcoming SUV possesses less ground clearance and height when compared to Creta. Kia Seltos measures, 4,315 mm in length, 1,800 mm in width and stands tall at 1,620 mm. The ground clearance for the same is 190 mm and wheelbase is 2,610 mm.
Kia Seltos will come in three engine options, all tuned to BS-VI compliance emission norms. The 1.5-litre petrol motor churns out 115 bhp with a peak torque of 144 Nm. The turbocharged 1.5-litre diesel produces 115 bhp on tap and generates a healthy torque of 250 Nm. The most powerful of the lot, the 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol will produce 140 bhp and 242 Nm of peak torque.
A 6-speed manual transmission will come as standard across all engine options. Kia Seltos gets a varied amount of automatics, a CVT gearbox in the petrol engine, a 6-speed torque converter unit in the diesel and the turbocharged petrol engine will see 7-speed DCT.
Kia Seltos comes with a plethora of features on the inside like a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit with UVO connected car technology. It will also support Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth as connectivity features. 360-degree camera, powered driver seat and front passengers ventilated seats, heads-up display and cruise control are to name a few.
Safety features onboard include Six airbags, front parking sensors, Hill Assist System, Electronic Stability Control, Anti-lock Braking System and a segment first Blind Spot Monitor.

One major thing that was not unveiled at the global debut of Seltos was the price of the upcoming SUV. But it is likely to undercut the prices of Tata Harrier and the base trim will start for as low as Rs 11 lakh and the top-end trim will set you back by Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
