Kia Seltos is scheduled to launch on 22nd August and the official bookings for the same will commence from next week onwards. The car hosts loads of features than its competitors.
Kia Motors will officially start the booking for their much-anticipated SUV, Seltos, starting next week. Kia Seltos booking can be done online or through visiting the dealerships from the same day.
Most select dealerships across India have already started taking unofficial bookings for the same at Rs 25,000. However, our advice to you is to wait until the official booking portal opens because there are many fraudulent websites claiming to be the official channels for the booking process.
Kia Seltos is based on the Hyundai Creta platform but will offer more premium features and will sit at a higher end than its rival. Most dealerships are planning to display the car by the first week of August and the deliveries will commence on the first week of September. The latter depending on how soon you book the car.

Once launched, Kia Seltos will be made available in a total of three bs-vi engine options – two petrol and one diesel engine. The 1.5-litre turbocharged diesel engine will generate 115 bhp with 250 Nm of torque while the 1.5-litre petrol engine will churn out 115 bhp with 144 Nm of peak torque.
The more powerful 1.4L TGDI petrol produces 140 bhp with 252 Nm of torque. A 6-speed manual transmission comes as standard while an option of 6-speed AT for the diesel, CVT for 1.5L petrol and a 7-speed Dual Clust Transmission (DCT) is made available for the turbocharged petrol motor.
Kia Seltos will be made available in 8 trims, the ‘h’ series for the diesel line up and the ‘g’ trim for the petrol engines. Five trims for the diesel engine includes HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX and HTX+ while GTK, GTX, GTX+ line up sticking to the petrol trims.
Kia Seltos comes with a host of features like a 360-degree camera, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with UVO connected car technology, dual zone climate control, wireless charging, power adjustable driver seats, electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, 8-speaker surround system from Bose, blind spots monitor sensors and much more.

Safety features onboard include front and rear parking sensors, ABS with EBD, tyre pressure monitoring system, Six airbags, Hill start assist and more.
Once launched, Kia Seltos will compete with the likes of Tata Harrier, MG Hector, recently launched MG Hector, Nissan Kicks and Renault Captur. The pricing for the same have not been announced but we’re sure that it will be aggressively priced than its competitors.
