Kia Seltos provides the first in segment Heads Up Display, Blind Spot Monitoring System and among others. It shares the same platform as that of the Hyundai Creta.
Kia Motors is all set to launch its first product, Seltos, in Indian markets on Aug 22, 2019. Based out of South Korea, the manufacturer has already launched the mid-size SUV in their local market at INR 11.30 to 15.44 lakh. We have already shown you how Kia Seltos car looks in its top-end trim but now new images give you a glimpse that how the base model looks like.
The front fascia of the Kia Seltos packs projector headlamps and the LED headlights are seen a miss in the base model. Also, LED DRLs on the bonnet lip and the tail light does not come in the lower-spec trim, roof rails and so does the larger alloy wheels with dual-tone shade.
Some highlights like the roof rails, faux silver exhaust tip can also be seen missing. The interiors of the base trim Kia Seltos gets manual AC instead of automatic. Also, the option of leather upholstery might be seen on the top-end GT Line and the HTX+ trims.

Kia Motors opened their official bookings from July 16 and the mid-size SUV already garnished over 6,000 bookings in just a day. That is huge for a new entry car and when the sales of passenger vehicles sales are going down. One such car is its competitor, MG Hector, which also has received an overwhelming response from the Indian market.
Kia Seltos gets equipped with features like Ambient lighting, Heads up display, ventilated front seats, large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with UVO connect technology. The UVO technology provides 37 connected features such as remote start/stop, navigation, voice recognition and among others.
Kia Seltos will come in three powertrain options – two petrol and one diesel engine. The 1.5L turbocharged diesel motor produces 115 bhp with 250 Nm of peak torque, the 1.5L petrol motor churns out 115 bhp with 144 Nm of torque and the more powerful turbo petrol motor generates 140 bhp with a healthy torque 242 Nm.
Transmission options include a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard along with the availability of CVT for 1.5L petrol, a 7-speed DCT for 1.4L turbo petrol and a 6-speed AT for 1.5L turbocharged diesel engine.

Once launched, Kia Seltos will compete with the likes of Tata Harrier, Hyundai Creta, Mahindra XUV500, MG Hector and entry trim of Jeep Compass. The price range for the mid-size SUV can be expected between Rs 11 lakh for the base trim to Rs 17 lakh for the top-end trim. All prices mentioned are related to ex-showroom, Delhi.
