Santa is coming to town and he’s bringing a mean green beast with him this time around. Kawasaki Motors India has launched the Kawasaki Z1000 in India on 23rd of December 2013. The bike is meant for the ones who are neither the fans of Harleys or the Hayabusas. It is meant for the bikers who believe that it is the street where they belong to and the Z1000 is going to be a pretty mean bike on the road.
The Z1000 launched in the country is the latest updated version of the bike which was showcased at the EICMA 2013 and it was also on display at the company’s dealership in Pune. The naked street fighter, Kawasaki Z1000 features a 1043cc engine that puts out a hard to tame 140BHP @ 10,000 RPM and a peak torque of 111 NM which comes in at 7,300 RPM and ensures that you are pretty much glued to the seat at all times.
The bike is 2.72 kgs heavier than the outgoing model but the increase in weight is attributed to the increase in the fuel tank capacity which now stands at 17 litres. There are no two ways to the fact that the bike looks generations ahead of what it actually is and has a futuristic design philosophy that makes every head on the road turn around. And the exhaust note, well, it can surely make you go deaf for a moment but for some, it will be next to a symphony.
