The 2018 Kawasaki Vulcan S will compete with the likes of Harley Davidson Street 750 and Hyosung Aquila Pro. The upcoming Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 will also lock horns with the latest offering from Kawasaki. The 2018 Kawasaki Vulcan S will be launched in the upcoming months while the officials have not released an exact date till now. Kawasaki Vulcan S India Specifications
The 2018 Kawasaki Vulcan employs the same 649cc 2-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that goes into the Ninja 650 or Versys 650 amongst others. The engine is returned for the cruiser though and produces 60 PS of power and 62.7 Nm of torque. The engines come mated to a six-speed transmission with the positive neutral finder. A sealer chain transfers the power to the rear wheel.
The upcoming 2018 Kawasaki Vulcan S employs 41mm telescopic forks at the front with 130mm of travel. The rear gets a monoshock with adjustable preload and offers a travel of 79mm. Braking duty is delivered by a 300 mm disc with a twin-piston calliper at the front and a single 250 m disc with a single-piston calliper. ABS will be offered as standard on the cruiser. The Vulcan rides on 120/70 18-inch tyre in the front and 160/60 17-inch tyre at the rear.

The upcoming 2018 Kawasaki Vulcan S features a laidback cruiser design with a low seat. The all-black cruiser features a blend of vintage and modern tech on board. The curvy tank, reflector based headlight, huge seat and the lack of windscreen add to the vintage part of the design. On the other hand, alloy wheels, monoshock on the rear, underbelly exhaust and sports bike derived diamond frame add to the modern appeal. Kawasaki aims at targeting a versatile customer base and these factors will help the company in selling the Vulcan S to anyone looking for either of the factors.
