Karan Kundrra has become the latest celebrity to own the Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. Now, the Wrangler has begun getting manufactured in India. This reduced its costs significantly compared to a couple of years ago. Not that these big celebrities and TV personalities were looking for a discount, but it certainly helps. Karan is a popular TV actor and presenter who is known for his love of automobiles. Hence, it doesn’t come as a surprise that he decides to decorate his garage with an iconic off-roader like the Wrangler.

Karan Kundrra Buys Jeep Wrangler
He shared this image on his Instagram handle. The army-coloured Rubicon is seen in the images as he leans against it to pose for the photo. This Rubicon has the typical vertically slated front grille with a rugged bumper and red tow hooks for extreme off-roading adventures. Interestingly, the alloy wheels of the SUV are of different colours but look massive extending well out of the body. The tyres feature an off-roading tread pattern with a high profile. That will ensure that the ride quality is not compromised even through the rough patches and shaky terrains.

The Wrangler comes with the same 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine churning out 268hp and 400Nm which was powering the outgoing model as well. This engine will be paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission to deliver high performance. Needless to say, there will be a whole host of off-roading equipment including Jeep’s Selec-Trac (with drive ratio of 2.72:1) and Rock Trac (with drive ratio of 4:1) 4×4 System, Tru-Lok Differentials, various terrain modes, performance suspension, a very high ground clearance including high approach and departure angles, high water wading capabilities and much more.

The prices of the Jeep Wrangler range from Rs 56.35 lakh to Rs 60.35 lakh, ex-showroom. These prices are reduced considerably compared to a couple of years ago when the Wrangler came as a CBU unit. Now, it is locally assembled in India. Jeep considers India a prominent market which is why it introduced the 7-seat Meridian in addition to the already existing Compass in our market. Karan Kundrra is reported to have other luxury and sports cars as well including the Range Rover and Lamborghini.
