Fans Hail Johnny Lever for Not Buying Mercedes, BMW or Audi
The pictures show Johnny Lever looking elated to take the delivery of his Skoda Superb. The same pics also show actor’s kids, Jamie Lever and Jessy Lever, looking excited on the arrival of the new vehicle in their family. The Superb is likely to have costed Lever approx. Rs 37 lakh. While not an affordable model by any stretch of imagination, it’s still not common for big celebs to choose a non-luxury vehicle. Soon after the pics of Lever’s new vehicle went viral, many social media users pointed out how the actor has chosen to stay away from buying a Mercedes, BMW or Audi.
Seeing the pictures, thousands of fans of the actor lauded him for making them proud once again by purchasing a relatively less expensive car. In fact, a Twitter user commented how “Kapil Sharma aur Bharti ne mercedes liya hain show off karne… lekin hamara Johnny bhai paisa save karke Skoda Superb liya… Great person”.It is worth noting here that in spite of his massive popularity, Johnny Lever prefers to live a low-key life. His son, Jessy, is a budding musician while his daughter, Jamie, is a fairly well-known comedian. Both the youngsters look ready to carry their father’s legacy forward with their talent.

Skoda Superb
Available in a price range of Rs 34.19-37.29 Lakh (ex-showroom),the Skoda Superb is a spacious, feature-laden and fairly powerful model that has been loved by many D-segment sedan buyers. It’s powered by a 2.0-litre TSI turbocharged petrol engine that outputs a maximum power of 190hp along with a peak torque of 320Nm. The motor comes mated to a 7-speed Dual-Clutch transmission. The sedan is capable to sprint to 100 km/h from standstill in just 8.43 seconds. It’s available in two variants – Sportline and L&K. The premium sedan is close to getting discontinued along with its sibling, Octavia. The decision to pull these sedans off the shelves comes at the back of imminent arrival of the BS6 Stage-2 emission norms. With demand for expensive sedans on a perpetual decline, the carmaker has chosen against updating these models.
