Maruti Jimny Rear Seat Space Tested
As you can see in the YouTube video by Anubhav Chauhan, Maruti Suzuki is bringing a 5-door version of Jimny to India. However, due to less shoulder room and leg space, the back seat might be uncomfortable for three people. On the front, you can see comfortable and supportive front seats. The Maruti Suzuki Jimny gets 15-inch alloy wheels. The huge wheel wells are accompanied by skinny tires. You can see the fuel tank from the rear wheel wells. The rear suspension is softly sprung.

The Maruti Suzuki Jimny comes with many impressive features. This includes a hydraulic-assisted rear side-hinged tailgate, headlight washers, auto-folding ORVM, rearview camera, LED projector headlights, fog lights, rear defogger, and UV-cut glass. For safety, the company has added side and curtain airbags. Additional features include a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ infotainment screen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, auto climate control, auto up/down driver window, cruise control, and keyless entry with push-button start.
Overall, the off-roading SUV has a unique style that makes it a compelling option in the small car segment. It also comes n many quirky color options like Sizzling Red, Granite Grey, Nexa Blue, Bluish Black, Pearl Arctic White, and Kinetic Yellow. Customers can choose from two variants – Zeta and Alpha. The new five-door Jimny is a significant upgrade over its predecessor. It will compete with the likes of Mahindra Thar in the Indian market.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny Specs
The popular SUV is getting a lot of attention from Indian consumers since it was officially unveiled at the Auto Expo in January 2023. Apparently, the bookings are at around the 25,000 unit mark at present. Maruti claims that the off-roading vehicle can also be used as a daily family car. While the company has not revealed the prices as yet, it is expected to come with a price tag of Rs 10 lakhs (ex-showroom). The official launch is expected to happen toward the end of April 2023.
The All-new Maruti Suzuki Jimny only comes with a petrol engine option. It is powered by a 1.5-liter naturally-aspirated four-cylinder petrol engine that can be paired with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission. The company claims that the new SUV will offer 104 PS of maximum power and 138 Nm of maximum torque. The off-roader SUV will come with Suzuki’s AllGrip four-wheel-drive system as standard, a 36-degree approach, 50-degree departure, 24-degree ramp-over angles, and a 210 mm ground clearance.
