A few days ago we reported that the new gen Jeep Wrangler Rubicon was doing rounds on the Indian roads. Now the further information reveals that the new Jeep Wrangler might see a launch date near to Diwali, 2019.
Jeep Wrangler will be offered in 4-door trim called as Unlimited and Sahara and 2-door trim called Rubicon. Jeep plans to bring the four-door version first followed by the Rubicon later.
The car continues to follow the same design pattern and still uses the boxy and aggressive design from its DNA. It gets a new JL platform and the front fascia sees new grille, LED Headlights and new bumpers.
Moving onto the side, it now sits on new alloy wheels and rear profile sees a large windscreen with LED tail lights. The long list of features here is what makes the Wrangler better from its previous generation.

The SUV now gets a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, LCD instrument cluster and more. Talking about off-roading capabilities, the ground clearance is increased to 275mm with water wading up to 30 inches, thanks to the updated ladder on frame chassis.
Jeep Wrangler is supposed to make its way with both petrol and diesel engine to offer. The 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine will pop out 261bhp with a peak torque of 600Nm. On the other hand, the petrol motor will be a 3.6-litre V6 which will produce 290 bhp with 352Nm of torque. Both engines are expected to be paired with 8-speed automatic transmission.
We can expect a BS-VI compliance engine for the new Jeep Wrangler. The new engine will improve efficiency, will cater to fewer NVH levels and provides more power than the on-going variant.

The on-going model of the Jeep Wrangler comes in petrol and diesel engines. The 3-litre V6 petrol engine churns out 280bhp with 347Nm of peak torque. The much-favoured diesel engine uses a 3-litre V6 engine which produces 196bhp with 460Nm of torque.
New Jeep Wrangler is expected to cost between Rs 59 lakh – Rs 66 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
