Jeep Compass vs Avenger – Specs Comparison
The Jeep Compass is powered by a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine that offers 163 hp of power and 250 Nm of torque and a 2-litre diesel unit which produces 170 hp and 350 Nm. Both engines are paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. However, while the turbo-petrol engine has a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic option, the diesel gets a 9-speed automatic option. The diesel models also get the 4×4 drivetrain in higher trims.

On the other hand, the Avenger will be powered by a 54 kWh NMC 811 Lithium-Ion battery that will power the front wheels. The dual-motor 4×4 versions will follow soon. The total system output stands at a healthy 156 hp and 260 Nm of peak power and torque for the FWD trim. The WLTP range is a decent 400 km and the 400 V architecture supports 100 kW DC fast charging enabling a charging time from 20-80% in just 24 minutes.

Features Comparison
As far as the features of the Compass are concerned, it comes with a floating 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, an all-digital 10.2-inch instrument, a three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel, front ventilated seats, a panoramic sunroof, power tailgate, cruise control, and wireless smartphone charging. Additionally, there are eight-way power-adjustable seats on the front. The driver side gets a memory function.

The interior of the Avenger is reminiscent of the other Jeep products with an elegantly understated design. There is a free-floating 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Uconnet that sits above the concealed AC vents integrated into the dashboard, a 7- or 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, electrically operated front seats with massage function, level 2 ADAS functions, multi-colour ambient lighting, sunroof, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, OTA updates, voice recognition and much more. The safety features on the Compass incorporate six airbags, rain brake support, hill hold/ descent control, a 360-degree camera setup, electronic roll mitigation, and a brake lock differential. Also, connected car technology includes in-vehicle data, location-based services, stolen vehicle assist, geofencing, and driver analytics.
