There are however no changes under the hood. The Compass Night Eagle edition will continue with the two powertrain options from the standard Compass. That includes a 1.4L turbo-petrol engine that produces 163hp and 250Nm and a 2.0L turbo-diesel engine that produces 173hp and 350Nm. The Night Eagle will also get Jeep’s four-wheel-drive system on the diesel version with a terrain response system. While this limited Night Eagle edition will spice things up for the Compass for some while, there’s a facelift lined up for the Compass that’s scheduled for a launch in early 2021. It will be quite a comprehensive facelift with significant changes to the design inside and out. Following that, Jeep also has a 7-seater version of the Compass in store for us that could feature a more powerful iteration of the 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine.
