Jawa Motorcycles made its entry into the Indian market again last year after a gap of 22 years and instantly found traction from potential buyers.
On the occasion of Women’s Day, a bunch of Jawa riders came together to celebrate it in a unique fashion. Jawa is selling 3 models in the country at the moment – Jawa, 42 and Perak. Jawa has named the first model Jawa to highlight the vintage model that was on sale around 3 decades ago. The 42 and Perak are the relatively newer additions to the lineup making the range quite attractive indeed. That has done wonders for the company as people are appreciating the neo-retro theme. A Jawa Group of riders met up on Women’s Day.

Jawa Riders Celebrate Women’s Day
This group was founded by Vivek Antony Peters and is called Jawa Bobbers Club. Essentially, it is a group where owners discuss about the pain points and highlights of owning Jawa bikes. This has built a community of like-minded people and there are many women riders in the group too. They got together in Chennai and had a ride. Women riders were accompanying them as well. In total, there were over 45 members of the group that got together for this event.

Jawa Bikes
Talking about the models of the sale in our market, Jawa represents the iconic model that was the original from back in the day. It closely resembles the vintage bike that captured the Indian market back in the day. The 42, on the other hand, is a completely modern iteration of the bike. It comes powered by a 293-cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that makes 27.33 PS and 27.02 Nm of peak power and torque. The fuel tank is a decent 14 litres in capacity and there is a 6-speed transmission on offer.

These are certainly direct competitors of the Royal Enfield Bullet in terms of price and body type. Nevertheless, this unique way of celebrating Women’s Day is definitely the way forward.
