Jawa Forty Two and Jawa get a rear disc and dual-channel ABS setup, just a month after its launch. The public demand for these upgrades was increasing.
After the launch of Jawa Motorcycles in India, media and buyers as well were suggesting for equipping both the motorcycles will rear disc and dual-ABS. At this price, most of the bikes usually offer a dual-channel setup.
Now, just after the iconic comeback a month ago, Jawa Forty Two and Jawa receive their first update. Rear-disc brake and dual-channel ABS now come equipped with both the motorcycles.
For the safety upgrade, Jawa Forty Two and Jawa will see a rise of Rs 8,942 from the current price. The update will come on motorcycles that are delivered after June 2019. For those who have booked will soon be able to upgrade to dual-ABS on the website itself.

Now, Jawa dual-ABS carries a price tag of Rs 1.73 Lakhs and Jawa Forty Two goes for Rs 1.64 Lakhs (ex-showroom). The non-ABS variants will also continue to sell alongside.

Along with this update, Jawa Motorcycles has also initiated industry-first motorcycle exhange program for all of its dealerships. It will also offer largest number of financial tie-ups with best financial schemes for its buyers.
3 Jawa Motorcycles were launched in November 2018. The 3 Motorcycles include Jawa, Jawa Forty Two and Jawa Perak. While the Jawa is the reincarnation of the original model, Forty-Two is the modern version of it. Perak is a factory custom Bobber motorcycle.

Jawa and Jawa Forty Two use a newly developed 293cc liquid-cooled engine. The engine produces 27 BHP and 28 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
Jawa Perak gets a bigger 321cc liquid-cooled engine. It makes out 31 BHP and 30 Nm of peak torque. Perak also pairs with a 6-speed gearbox.
The non-ABS Jawa is priced at Rs 1.64 Lakhs and non-ABS Forty Two goes for Rs 1.55 Lakhs. Perak carries a price tag of Rs 1.89 Lakhs (ex-showroom). Their biggest competitiors include Royal Enfield Classic 350 and Bullet 350.
As of now, the dealerships of Jawa Motorcycles are opening up. The first ones have come up in Pune, followed by Bengaluru. Tomorrow, a dealership will be opening in Central Delhi (Karol Bagh).
Most of the showrooms will open up in December 2018. The 2nd phase of showrooms will open up by March 2019.

The bookings for the bikes are increasing day by day. As of now, the waiting period has gone up to 4 months for both the motorcycles.
