Here is our experience of the newly opened Jawa Dealership in Delhi. Check out the photos of the dealership as well as of the Jawa Motorcycles.
CarBlogIndia was invited to the first Jawa dealership opening in Delhi. The Delhi dealerships are at Rani Jhansi Road (Jhandewalan), Krishna Nagar (East Delhi), Gujranwala Town (North Delhi) and Saket (South Delhi).
So, we headed out to the dealership and here is our first hand experience of the showrooms.
Jawa Motorcycles were launched in India last month. The bookings began sometime prior to the launch. Now, the waiting period has gone up so much, that if you book a Jawa now, you might get it in September 2019.

Currently, 2 Jawa Motorcycles are available at the dealerships. Jawa and Jawa 42 stand in glory inside the retro-styled showroom. After 25th December, you will have to book Jawa Motorcycles at the showroom itself.
The Jawa Dealership is filled with memorablia, reminiscent of the golden ‘Jawa’ era. The walls are adorned with posters and advertisment, that came out earlier. Most of these advertisements were popular in the 1970s.
The Jawa dealership we visited displayed 2 colours of Jawa 42 and the iconic maroon colour of Jawa. 3 bikes were at the display. Jawa Perak will be displayed later, prior to its launch.
The dealership offers the buyer with the complete riding gear as well as accessories. You can choose specialized helmets, T-Shirts and Shirts, Gloves and riding jackets. The range of accessories can be chosen over the brochure available.
The helmets are typical old-school ones with plain design and ‘Jawa’ inscription on them. The wearables came with different quotes, graphics and advertisments of the motorcycles.

Jawa Dealership also offers a cafe-like sitting area which come old classics and novels. You can order a coffee or a cold drink with waiting for your Jawa to be repaired or serviced. There are some collectibles also on display.
We did not spot one on display, but there are reports suggesting that some old restored models will also be put on display over there. Outside the Jawa Dealership, we saw original motorcycles from the early times, shining in full glory.
Inside the dealership, you can check both the motorcycles, sit over them and listen to the exhaust note. As of now, the motorcycles are available on display. The test rides will shortly commence at the dealerships.
Around 104 dealerships of Jawa Motorcycles will be open in India by March-2019. In the first phase, metro cities and Tier-II cities will be covered. As of now, the dealerships are open in Pune and Bengaluru as well.
Jawa and Jawa 42 come with a 293cc liquid-cooled engine that produces 27 BHP and 28 Nm of peak torque. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
