Case Registered Against Rogue Jawa Dealer
K.K. Motors is an authorized dealership for Mahindra’s Jawa and Yezdi bikes. It is located on the B-264, ground floor, 30th Road, TPS Lane in Bandra West. The authorized showroom was operated by Gaurav (also known as Rohan Nagda), Dipesh Nagda, and Deepa Nagda. It apparently closed in July this year. Since then, police have been getting complaints from customers about not receiving motorcycles they paid for. Finally, a case was registered on September 2.
Apparently, the dealership has been giving excuses to customers for a while. This included claims like the dealership owner being hospitalised. In one instance, customers were told that the bike had been damaged during transportation. In another instance, they were told that the dealership is waiting for waiting for replacements. However, they eventually stopped answering calls altogether and closed the dealership.
The police are now treating this case as a significant scam. An FIR has been registered under sections 420 and 406 of the Indian Penal Code against the owners. The Jawa case is being handled by the Bandra police station. Meanwhile, Jawa Motors’ regional head has stated that the company’s legal team is currently looking into the matter. No further information has been provided for customers affected by this scam.
