The official website of Aprilia India now shows the Tuono 125 in the list. The manufacturer might be considering it for the Indian market, finally.
Aprilia showcased the Tuono and RS 150 back at the 2018 Auto Expo. Since then, there are rumours of it launching in India. Now, Aprilia has put up the Tuono 125 on its Indian website. Are we finally get it or is it just a showcase? You can see for yourself here.
Aprilia has confirmed that it wants to enter the entry-level and mid-capacity motorcycle segment. By bringing the Tuono 125, it would catch a lot of eyes. An affordable motorcycle from Aprilia seems like an interesting thing to look out for.
We still have no confirmation from the company or any media reports that are strongly hinting its launch. However, seeing the popularity of affordable sports bikes like Yamaha R15 V3, Bajaj Pulsar RS200 and KTM RC125, they might be considering.

Tuono 125 gets the bigger Tuono V4 1100 inspired styling, with the same bikini fairing. It is a semi-faired motorcycle unlike the RS 150, which is a fully faired one. Highlights of the Tuono include an attractive headlamp cowl, raised front and rear fenders and a near upright riding posture.
The motorcycle gets a 124.6cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. The engine produces 15 PS at 10,500 RPM and 11 Nm of peak torque at 8250 RPM. The motor comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. Further, it gets 4 valves and SOHC system.
It sits on a lightweight perimeter frame with 40mm USD forks at the front and a monoshock at the back. For braking, it uses a 300mm disc at the front and a 220mm disc at the back, paired with dual-channel BOSCH ABS as standard.
As told, we are expecting Aprilia to bring the Tuono 125 at a price tag of around Rs 1.4 Lakhs (ex-showroom). In that way, it will be priced near to the R15 V3 and RC 125. The power figures of RC are very similar to that of Tuono, but the R15 V3 produces nearly 5 PS more than both of them.

If not launching, Aprilia might just have showcased it on the website as part of their portfolio. It is sold in the global markets with a Euro 4 engine. Based on the customer feedback, Aprilia might consider if to launch it and when.
