It has proved, time and again, that it is capable of saving the lives of people in unlucky road events. However, this doesn’t warrant the drivers to be careless. That is exactly what happened in this case the video of which has been reported from Assam.

Prateek Singh has posted this video on his YouTube channel. In the video clip, the 24-year-old student, Abhishek Deb is seen travelling from Silchar to Dolu. He is live on Instagram moments before this deadly crash. It is seen in the clip that he is travelling at the speed of around 120 km/h while being on his phone. More importantly, he was not wearing a seatbelt.

Unfortunately, the car got out of control and ended up landing in a field quite far away from the road. The exact cause of the accident is still unknown. But it can be concluded that the combination of high speed and not wearing the seatbelt proved to be deadly as he lost his life while being transported to the local hospital. The damage to the car is quite significant too. The entire front end is crumpled and the side profile is affected too. The car may have rolled multiple times before coming to a halt because of the high speed.

Nevertheless, the side pillars are still largely intact. This means that had the driver worn the seatbelt, he could’ve survived the crash because the side pillars must’ve prevented a lot of damage from entering the cabin. We would advise our readers once again that you must make sure that you drive within the speed limit on the road and refrain from using phones while driving. These are the most common reasons for accidents on our roads. Stay safe and follow the traffic rules.
