In a bizarre chain of events, a Mahindra Scorpio Classic has been converted into a Hummer H3 or at least so has one tried. The Scorpio Classic is one of the highest-selling vehicles from Mahindra in our market. It has a wide application scenario. People have been using it as a rugged off-roader to reach remote parts of the country for years now. There are others who use it to carry tons of load and passengers. That is the reason why it is immensely popular in the semi-urban and rural parts of the country. Its widespread availability is also why some people use it to convert it into other cars. This is a prime example.

Mahindra Scorpio Classic Converted into Hummer H3
This post is based on a reel doing rounds on Instagram. The visuals capture the rugged SUV in all its glory. To be fair, the front section actually looks a bit like it belongs to a Hummer. It features new grille, round headlamps, round turn indicators, a bolder-looking bonnet, round fog lamps, tow hooks and body graphics on the bonnet. Moving down the sides, there are stylish 17-inch alloy wheels, hood scoops on the bonnet, chunky wheel arches, carbon fibre components, side steps to enhance the ingress and egress characteristics. The rear profile is the one that has a the most oddball look. In fact, the side profile and the rear-end are dead giveaways of the original identity. The rear-end comprises Hummer H3 badge, which is the only thing ‘Hummer’ about it.

Author’s Note
These days, there’s a big increase in the popularity of modifying cars after they’ve been bought. These car shops have better access to technology, new ideas, and real spare parts. That lets them make customized versions of almost any car to fit what buyers want. But it’s important to know that most car modifications in India don’t follow the law. So, it’s really important to think about this before you start customizing your car. One good idea is to go to your local Regional Transport Office (RTO) and ask for their advice about the changes you want to make. If they say it’s okay, you can get those changes written down on your Registration Certificate (RC). This way, you can avoid any problems with the law later on.
