Aftermarket car modification houses have become insanely popular and capable in the last few years and this extreme Jimny is a prime example of that
In this latest instance, we are able to experience a Maruti Jimny with rear steering! I must admit I have never seen anything like this. It is evident that aftermarket car shops are skilled in creating any alteration on a stock car. Jimny is one of the most heavily and widely customized vehicles out there. Being a true off-roader, people want to accentuate its capabilities even further. As a consequence, they take them to the aftermarket car modification houses to install hardcore off-roading equipment. Let us take a look at the details here.
Maruti Jimny with Rear Steering
The specifics of this unique instance stem from Aaruksh on YouTube. Looking at the visuals, this has to be among the most hardcore and raw off-roading footage you will see. The YouTuber and his companions have extremely modified SUVs. These include the old Jeeps, Maruti Jimny, Mahindra Thar, Jeep Wrangler, etc. However, it is the old barebones Jeeps which wear ginormous wheels and off-roading components. In essence, these are indestructible. Hence, the team sends these to make the path in a hilly jungle. There are no tracks at all in the dense forest.
One man physically inspects the trail and signals to the drivers to move the SUVs. Only after he sees some land ahead, he asks the driver to move onto that portion so that other cars can follow their lead. At one point in this video, the Jimny driver demonstrated the rear-wheel steering as well. The man is able to manually turn both the front and rear wheels. This is extremely crucial in environments where manoeuvrability is needed. In fact, the driver even goes on to perform fierce drifts using the Jimny. During the last part of the video, the team almost makes a driver move into a steep dip. Somehow, they were able to navigate their way out of it.
My View
I would like to caution our readers to never attempt anything like this. It is easy to take inspiration from such social media posts. However, in real life, these are life-threatening activities, especially if you don’t have any prior experience. I must also mention that most YouTubers take a lot of precautions behind the scenes which the regular netizens don’t realize. Hence, I urge our readers to never imitate these personnel at any cost. Stay safe and never attempt this yourself.
