While the vacuum toilet takes up most of the boot space of the Toyota Fortuner, it can be accessed while the SUV is on the move
The Toyota Fortuner has been the undisputed king of the premium SUV segment. The hot-selling model looks butch, has a sufficiently premium cabin, gets powerful engine options and is even quite capable off the road. These attributes make it the choice of many long-distance travellers. The black T-Fort you see here, though, offers something totally unimaginable. Read on for the details.

Outside, this SUV looks like just any other Toyota Fortuner. Inside, it offers a, believe it or not, western-type toilet seat built into its boot! This is exactly like how motorhomes, which are not exactly popular in our country, offer built-in toilets. The customizer of this SUV has skilfully fixed a commode with an aircraft-type vacuum flush system in spite of the vehicle packaging constraints.
A highlight of this mod-job is that the toilet is accessible from inside the cabin. This means an occupant can use the toilet while the SUV is moving. The video seen below shows a local journalist who shows the modification. This modification is the work of Ojes Automobiles which usually deals in motorhomes. Even though the toilet seat has taken much of the boot space, it’s commendable how the customiser has managed to integrate the loo with the cabin.

This is not the first time we’ve seen someone build a toilet inside his SUV. Earlier, we came across a Mahindra Bolero with a similar western-style toilet seat. The setup even comprised two separate water tanks. There’s even a health faucet, soap dispenser and a sanitiser to help one maintain hygiene. Interestingly, the mini-toilet inside the Toyota Fortuner has a seatbelt next to it but there’s no buckle visible.
