Maruti Jimny with CNG Kit

The mechanics neatly position the pipes, components, CNG cylinder and filling valve on the Jimny. The main components include new injectors, a single-stage reducer, an ECM with COBD2, a gas filter, a map sensor, etc. It took the mechanics close to 7 hours to fit the entire CNG configuration. After the installation of the CNG cylinder, there is little space for luggage. But the performance of the vehicle is still decent.

We are not certain about the power and torque output figures of the Jimny in this CNG guise. But we know that there will be a slight decrease in the output in comparison to the regular petrol version. The latter is a 1.5-litre petrol unit good for 103 hp and 134 Nm of peak power and torque. This engine pairs with either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed torque converter automatic transmission. There is Suzuki’s distinctive ALLGRIP PRO 4×4 drivetrain enabling brilliant off-roading performance. The prices range between Rs 12.74 lakh and Rs 15.05 lakh, ex-showroom.
