Hyundai launched the new Verna a few weeks ago with the aim to challenge the driving enthusiastic models in the segment like the VW Virtus and Skoda Slavia.
This has to be India’s first Hyundai Verna with a performance exhaust. Verna is a premium mid-size sedan that has been around for a while. It has successfully survived the onslaught from the SUVs in the last few years and still remains a strong and aspirational choice for a whole bunch of potential car buyers. In its latest iteration, Hyundai has equipped it with the latest features and powerful engines to rival the performance offered by its German opponents. But there are still some people who head to the aftermarket for more performance enhancements.

The sedan is lifted on the hydraulic lift and its stock exhaust is being taken off. There is a new exhaust lying nearby that will be installed on it. The details of the specifications of this exhaust are not available but it is clear that it will allow a sporty and loud growl (exhaust note) and some performance benefits.

These performance-enhancing exhausts come in various shapes and sizes. Hence, there has to be a professional who could install it. Moreover, the engine parameters have to be calibrated accordingly to reap the benefits of such a component. Generally, it allows for better airflow which is crucial in internal combustion engines. That leads to increased efficiency and in turn, performance. That is the reason why people opt for it. But it does come with a negative effect on fuel economy.
