In this video, a prominent Indian vlogger documents the details of the 2023 Hyundai Creta facelift. Creta is the highest-selling SUV in Hyundai’s camp. It is the market leader in the mid-size SUV segment. However, this vlogger is not in India. As a result, it is entirely possible that we might not receive this exact model when the facelift comes to our shores. In fact, this particular model has been around in the international market for a while now. Nevertheless, it gives us a fair idea of what to expect from the Hyundai Creta facelift. Let us check out the details.

The main alterations in the mid-size SUV’s design are on its front end. It features the attractive design style used by the Korean automaker, which we recently observed in the flagship SUV, the Tucson. This implies that the new Creta showcases a large, intricately styled front grille with dark chrome elements. The LED daytime running lights (DRLs) will be smoothly integrated into the grille and will only be visible when switched on. The primary LED headlamp cluster is still positioned on the bumper, similar to the current model, but the bumper receives slight adjustments. Similarly, the side and rear profiles are almost similar to the current model. But the taillamps are slightly tweaked. These changes give the SUV a modern look.

Interior and Features
On the inside, the overall layout and configuration remain almost identical to the existing model. This includes things like the butterfly steering wheel with multimedia controls, digital instrument cluster, large touchscreen infotainment system like on the Alcazar, wireless charging, multiple USB ports, automatic climate control with physical buttons, auto-dimming electrochromic IRVM, panoramic sunroof, connected car tech, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, ventilated front seats, and more. It would also be interesting to see if the Korean auto giant equips it with ADAS features. Note that the recently launched Seltos gets the Level 2 ADAS active safety features.

Similar to the new Kia Seltos, the 2023 Hyundai Creta facelift will offer a new 1.5-litre GDI turbo-petrol choice. This engine will replace the no-longer-available 1.4-litre turbo-petrol one. The options of a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a turbo-diesel engine will still be available. The three engines will output 160 PS / 253 Nm, 115 PS / 144 Nm and 115 PS / 250 Nm of peak power and torque respectively. You’ll have several transmission options to pick from, including a 6-speed automatic, IVT, 6-speed IMT, and 7-speed DCT, depending on the model. It’s important to note that the new turbo-petrol engine isn’t just more powerful, but also more fuel-efficient than the 1.4-litre alternative.
