The 2023 Mitsubishi Pajero Sport could be a perfect substitute for the Ford Endeavour. Both these are 7-seat SUVs. In India, Endeavour was a segment leader in the 7-seat off-roading categories for years. However, the American car giant quit manufacturing cars in India in September 2021. At present, there are tons of variants of the Fortuner on offer to cater to all sorts of buyers taking the place of the Endy. On the other hand, the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport was discontinued in India in January 2020. Let us take a look at the details of what it has to offer in its latest iteration.

Mitsubishi Pajero Sport a Ford Endeavour Successor?
This video comes from Rajni Chaudhary on YouTube. The famous vlogger gives the viewers a walkaround tour of the newest Pajero Sport. She found it at the Indonesian Auto Show a few days ago. The sheer road presence of the Pajero Sport is quite imposing. At the front, there is a colossal grille section finished in matte silver with large horizontal slabs flanking the LED DRLs, there is a massive LED headlamp cluster on either side of the massive bumper, there is a skid plate to accentuate the sturdy nature of the SUV. On the sides, there are elegant dual-tone 18-inch alloys, practical roof rails, side steps for easier ingress and egress and prominent wheel arches. The rear profile has a roof-mounted spoiler, shark fin antenna, LED taillamps, and styling bumper with chrome elements.

Interior and Features
While the exterior is quite imposing, the interior is slightly subtle. It gets a humble dashboard layout. The top model boasts features including a dual 8-inch infotainment display and driver’s instrument cluster, steering-mounted controls, ADAS features to enhance active safety, automatic climate control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, black and beige colour scheme, use of leather on door panels and steering wheel, electronic parking brake, sunroof, 360-camera, reclining rear seats, a screen for the rear passengers, plenty of storage spaces, rear AC vents, 7 airbags, all four disc brakes and more. All in all, the cabin is quite understated.

Specs
There are two diesel engines on offer – a 2.4-litre turbo diesel and a 2.5-litre diesel engine. The former has a turbocharger and intercooler and produces a decent 181 PS and 430 Nm of peak power and torque. There is either a 5-speed manual or an 8-speed automatic transmission. One could go for the 4×4 configuration as well. The other engine makes 136 hp and 326 Nm of peak power and torque. In Indonesia, this SUV is priced at around Rs 40 lakh. We know that the company doesn’t exist in India anymore. Still, if it were to somehow arrive in our market, it could serve as a perfect replacement for the Ford Endeavour to rival the mighty Toyota Fortuner.
